Peer Consults, Partner Programs, and Other Resources
Several of our Wellness Partners offer peer consults or peer-educator led wellness sessions, including:
- McKinley Health Center: Stress management, nutrition, fitness, multi-cultural health, and sexual health peer consults are available. Peer educators also lead regularly scheduled programs and bring wellness programs to campus organizations.
- Counseling Center (Counseling Center Paraprofessionals) provide a wide variety of emotional and mental health programs, including the Tuesdays at 7 series, and Workshops on Request. The INNER VOICES Social Issues Theater and Alcohol Culture Explored Interactive Theater (ACE IT) are also student led.
- UI Extension Financial Wellness Program: Peer educators provide individual consults, group programs, and webinars on a variety of financial topics.
- Campus Recreation: Peer educators provide nutritional consults and teach cooking classes in the Activities and Recreation Center. Many group fitness classes are also taught by students.
