This position does not require the applicant to be present for an exam. However, you must submit an exam request form to be considered. The University will conduct a credential assessment. Your exam score will be based on the application materials submitted.
The University of Illinois’ Office of University Payables – Card Services seeks applicants for a Business/Administrative Associate (BAA) to independently perform a variety of complex technical and functional duties in University Payables related to the corporate credit card process. This position will monitor Card Services’ Help Desk and Service Desk Manager answering and troubleshooting problems related to card programs. This BAA will act as a subject matter expert for card system utilization, including system maintenance, compliance, development, and training.
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing, Finance or related field.
2. Two years of accounting, managerial, or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level.
1. Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP)
2. Familiarity with the Business and Financial Policies and Procedures Manual of the University of Illinois, and State of Illinois and University procurement statutes, regulations and procedures and Federal regulations related to payment processing.
3. Experience with Banner Finance, Banner Document Management (BDM), iBuy, P-Card, T-Card and Travel and Expense Management (TEM) applications.

If an application was previously submitted, an update is still required. A request to create a civil service application will be processed within two (2) business days (Monday - Friday). Your logon information will be e-mailed to you. When you receive your logon information, you can complete your online employment application.
Exam Scoring Information:
You will not be required to report in person for this exam. The updated online application and all uploaded, relevant documents, such as a resume, college transcripts, and/or staff development course listings, will be used in the calculation of the exam score. These documents should be uploaded by the time you submit your exam request.
For this Credential Assessment exam, please remember to include all relevant work experience typically including coordinating and managing the business/financial and/or administrative operations of a unit.
