Position Information:
The University of Illinois Extension office in Hillsboro, Montgomery County seeks a Community Worker. This position promotes and educates the community about SNAP ED programs. The Community Workers will work with local residents (youth and adults) identified for SNAP-Ed programming to provide basic nutrition, physical activity, and food budgeting education for low-income individuals. The primary location for this position is at the Montgomery County office; however, it may be necessary for this position to work from the other offices in Unit 18 on an as-needed basis. Other related units as assigned.

This is a security-sensitive position. Comprehensive background checks, including but not limited to a criminal conviction information check, a CANTS check, and a review of the Registered Sex Offender list, will be conducted.  Bilingual skills are preferred for this position.
