Position Information:
The University of Illinois Extension office Milan, IL (Rock Island County) seeks a Community Worker. This position promotes and educates the community about SNAP ED programs. Community Workers recruit participants, present workshops and classes, and collaborate with community partners to best serve SNAP ED clients. The community worker will work with local residents (youth and adults) identified for SNAP-ED programming to provide basic nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and food budgeting education for low income individuals. The Community Worker is administratively responsible to the University of Illinois Extension Multi-County Unit Director. Other Related duties as assigned.

This is a security-sensitive position. Comprehensive background checks, including but not limited to a criminal conviction information check, a CANTS check, and a review of the Registered Sex Offender list, will be conducted.
