Job titles requiring medical evaluation

Staff Pre-Employment Testing

A number of staff job classifications require pre-employment physicals. There are two types of physicals: health assessments and full physicals. Certain job classifications also require completion of a drug test and/or an ARCON strength test. Regardless of the type of testing required, no candidate offered employment in the classification, including current university employees, can begin to work until the appropriate tests have been taken and passed. It is the hiring unit’s responsibility to notify Staff Human Resources of the conditional hire offer so that the appropriate pre-employment testing can be scheduled. The list below indicates what type of testing is required for each classification.
