Department and Unit Wellness Resources
Over the past few years, we have seen more and more campus departments and units taking steps to bring wellness programming directly to their staff, students, residents and members. Campus Wellbeing Services has responded through an increasing number of programs and resources for these groups. Our services include:

  • Wellness-to-Go: Our suite of wellness programs that can be delivered directly to work units, residence halls, student and employee groups.
  • Consulting and technical assistance: Campus Wellbeing Services staff can meet with work units, academic colleges, and other campus units needing assistance getting their own wellness programming going. We provide practical guidance, and can connect you with other units that have implemented programs similar to what you wish to do.
  • In-depth seminar on workplace wellness: This three hour session is offered ¬†twice a year to supervisors and HR professionals through the HR Supervisory Series
  • Online fact sheets: We have posted some electronic fact sheets on starting a unit wellness program on the left side of this page

To request more information about any of these resources please contact the CWS office at wellbeing@illinois.edu or (217)263-9365.

Wellness Ambassadors
Campus Wellbeing Services is excited to announce that we are instituting a Wellness Ambassador program in the fall of 2018. Wellness ambassadors are faculty or staff who serve as liaisons between Campus Wellbeing Services and the respective department, division or college. They help promote and implement wellness programs for the employees in their work area. They network with other wellness ambassadors, share ideas and resources, and collaborate on programs. They provide important feedback to Campus Wellbeing services on what their employees are looking for in wellness programming.

Wellness ambassadors are volunteers. They serve a one-year term. Wellness ambassadors are expected to attend a quarterly meeting, and contribute up to two hours a month promoting and implementing wellness programs for their units. Wellness ambassadors must receive permission from their direct supervisor.

If you are interested in serving as a wellness ambassador, please complete the application in the left hand menu, and return it to Campus Wellbeing services at wellbeing@illinois.edu or Campus Wellbeing Services, Illini Union Book Store Building, Illinois Human Resources, 807 South Wright Street, MC-324, Champaign, IL 61820.
