First Month

During your first 30 days, you will continue to learn about work requirements and resources supporting the work; complete required training, review professional development opportunities, and enhance knowledge and skills through learning opportunities. Reminder you have 30 days after your date of hire to enroll yourself and your dependents for benefits including health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts and supplemental life insurance.

Complete My Benefits Registration
Make your benefits selections online. (Benefits Eligible Employees) NOTE: You will need your CMS Employee ID# to complete. To view the Employee Benefits Document click here.

Complete UI New Hire
Complete the remainder of your forms in UI New Hire (if not already done): NOTE: If Direct Deposit is not completed within 30 days, you will be issued your pay on a pay card.

Review Retirement Plan Options
Select a SURS retirement plan (if not already done) or you will be automatically enrolled in the Traditional Benefit Package; this default enrollment is irrevocable. As a new member of SURS, you must choose a retirement plan within the first 6 months of your employment. You can register for an overview of retirement options on the orientation webpage.
