What is Campus Recreation?

Campus Recreation cultivates positive life-long learning through inclusive and valuable resources that empower our campus to achieve, develop leaders, and serve the global community at the highest level. We provide healthy lifestyle programs and fitness-enhancing activities for our members.

Who can use your facilities and services?

All registered students, faculty, and staff, including their families, and alumni can become Campus Recreation members. For information on becoming a member, visit Membership Eligibility.

Student and employee groups and the community at large can rent or host parties and events at Campus Recreation facilities. Examples include receptions, pool parties, healthy cooking demonstrations, and more.

Costs vary based on the service provided. All registered students can use Campus recreation facilities at no cost. Faculty and staff can purchase memberships.

Where is Campus Recreation located?

Campus Recreation has several facilities on the campus, including:

  • Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) – 201 East Peabody Drive, Champaign
  • Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE) – 1102 West Gregory Drive, Urbana
  • Ice Arena – 406 East Armory Avenue, Champaign
  • Complex Fields (intramurals, club sports, open rec) – Corner of Florida & Lincoln Avenues, Urbana
  • Outdoor Center Fields (intramurals, club sports, open rec) – Corner of First Street & Stadium Drive, Champaign
  • Illini Grove – Corner of Lincoln and Pennsylvania Avenue, Urbana
