Marc Changnon,Keynote Speaker, Always Do Your Best

Marc Changnon is a motivational and inspirational speaker whose purpose is to engage and challenge audiences from every interest and background. Marc realized early on his purpose in life was to help others help themselves to a better life, and his passion for helping is evident as soon as you hear him speak or you experience him as a Real Colors® Facilitator.

Marc's purpose has served as his foundation while raising his three children, in developing financial plans for his clients, and in counseling students and adults alike in their search for a fulfilling career. Regardless of his career as a 4-H Youth Advisor, a Financial Planner, a Basketball Coach or the Director of Career Programs within the public schools, he has emphasized his motto for himself and those he has worked with and that is to “Always Do Your Best.”

Michele Guerra, Well-Being Services

Michele Guerra is the Director of Well-Being Services, and is responsible for overseeing life enhancing programs for faculty, staff and students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Michele has 30 years of wellness management and health promotion experience. During this time, Michele has designed and implemented health promotion and fitness programs in health clubs, hospitals, communities, universities, and workplaces.

Before working for the University of Illinois, Michele was the founding Director of Active Living Partners, an evidence-based lifestyle physical activity and healthy eating program designed especially for inactive people. In addition, Michele served as Wellness Coordinator for Provena Health, where she developed and managed employee, patient, and community wellness programs, and was instrumental in creating a system-wide worksite health promotion program. She also served as the Co-Director of the Fitness and Lifestyle Improvement Program at Dartmouth College.

Michele is also a research collaborator, focusing on applying health promotion research to real world settings. Michele is currently serving on a research team that is exploring worksite health promotion program participation. This NIH funded project is being implemented through Well-Being Services on the UIUC campus.

Michele has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, a Master’s degree in health promotion management, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in behavior change.

Morris Mosley, Faculty/Staff Assistance and Well-Being Services

Morris Mosley is a social worker who graduated from Quincy University (1977) with a Bachelor of Arts, and the University of Illinois (1987) with a Masters in Social Work- Child Welfare and Service to Families.

Mr. Mosley has extensive experience in behavioral health as therapist in residential treatment, Clinical Director for Cunningham Children's Home, and Program Coordinator for The New Choice Addictions and Recovery at The Pavilion Hospital. Mr. Mosley has also served as training consultant for the Urbana Police Department, The City of Urbana Human Rights Commission, and as a contractual counselor for the Mental Health Center. His experience includes work with families and groups, individuals and couples. Mr. Mosley joined the University of Illinois in 2011, as a clinical counselor for the Faculty/Staff Assistance and Well-Being Services.

Dr. Dana Gillon, Facilties & Services

Dr. Dana Gillon has worked in higher education for the last 17 years in human resource management, change management, diversity initiatives and safety.  She has served as a director in a major non-profit, worked for a couple government agencies and served in the military.  Dr. Gillon is also a researcher focused on the sociology of work and the sociology of education.

Dr. Gillon is a dynamic trainer and facilitator.  She has lead seminars on Workforce Planning, Organizational Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Sexual Harassment, among other topics.  Dr. Gillon currently works for Facilities & Services in Safety and Compliance.  A large portion of her work focuses on providing office and industrial ergonomic services.  She also provides training on injury prevention and other safety topics.

Susann Sears, Disability Resources & Education Services

Susann is the Director of Beckwith Residential Support Services (BRSS) with the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) at the University of Illinois. BRSS is a residential program for current U of I students with severe, physical disabilities and require personal assistance with activities of daily living.  She assumes overall responsibility for implementing procedures to ensure that Beckwith staff and residents are aware of and in compliance of University of Illinois, Housing, DRES and BRSS regulations, policies and procedures.  Susann received her BA degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Northern Iowa, her M.Ed. in Higher Education Student Affairs Administration from Iowa State University and is a part-time doctoral student in Community Health with a Rehabilitation emphasis at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
