The Office of the Chancellor and Illinois Human Resources is pleased to offer the 2024 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). SYEP offers a unique eight-week experience for students, ages 15-19, from Champaign, Rantoul, and Urbana.

• THERE IS NO COST TO YOUR UNIT for a student.
• Work Dates: June 3, 2024 through July 26, 2024
• Work Schedule: Student work schedules can be flexible but must not exceed 7.5 hours per day. The program will pay for up to 20 hours per week in the unit and an additional 2-3 hours of Professional Development scheduled by our office and held outside of your unit each Friday.
• Rate of Pay: $14.00-$15.00 per hour

You may submit your request for a Summer Youth Program employee. Your participation in this important program is encouraged. Please register no later than Friday, April 26, 2024. This date will close sooner if we reach full capacity of units requesting a student. Please note that requesting a student does not guarantee we will be able to provide you with a student. Most students will review jobs and make selections based on their skills and interests, other will be placed and learn new areas.
