Administrative Operations

Administrative Operations manages all support functions for IHR. This includes financial management, budgeting, processing payables and receivables, all HR functions for IHR as a unit (new hires, separations, searches, payroll, etc.), including information technology and desktop support for the unit. Staff in this area manage purchasing and inventory management of supplies and equipment along with facilities management of our four locations. Admin Ops recently created a service center that will act as a multi-disciplinary unit established with the primary objective of adhering to legal and regulatory requirements by providing compliance oversight, streamlining operations and gaining process efficiencies with the goal of mitigating risk. They will partner with functional subject matter experts (SMEs) to support HR programs and service commitments. Staff in this area serve as the liaison with the Board of Trustees Office for academic staff appointments, manage the academic staff notification of appointment (NOA) and notice of non-reappointment (NONR) processes, and re-employment of retirees.

Chief of Staff & Special Programs

The Chief of Staff & Special Projects serves as a strategic advisor, assuming day-to-day responsibility for special projects and facilitating cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success. The position cultivates a work culture centered on inclusivity, accountability, commitments to customers and university core values, while fostering alignment with strategic priorities.

The Chief of Staff facilitates decision-making and enhances speed of delivery with competing priorities by researching, collecting data, and facilitating discussions among staff and stakeholders. The position collaborates with IHR leadership to identify and prioritize critical work, to move forward agendas, and to confirm key issues are addressed. The Chief of Staff maintains a high-level of interaction with the Senior Associate Chancellor/CHRO and ensures the organization is responsive to strategic priorities and service commitments.

Marketing & Communications (MarCom)

As the designated voice of IHR, it is our responsibility to effectively convey the collective strength, expertise, and extensive array of services and resources available to the campus community. MarCom develops a comprehensive suite of marketing and communication tools for internal and external audiences. Central to this effort is ensuring alignment across all IHR units' marketing and communication tools to reinforce and enhance the IHR brand. Additionally, we maintain and execute a strategic social media marketing and communication plan, alongside an internal communication strategy tailored to the needs and objectives of IHR.
