Empowering Performance
At Illinois, we believe that every employee deserves transparency and clarity when it comes to their performance. We recognize that understanding how you’re evaluated is essential for personal and professional development. Our collaborative approach empowers individuals and teams to thrive.
Our Approach
- Clear Expectations: We set the stage by defining clear expectations. When everyone knows what’s expected of them, it fosters alignment and purpose.
- Goal-Setting & Development Planning: Our dynamic goal-setting systems adapt to your needs. Together, we create meaningful objectives that align with individual, team, and organizational goals.
- Ongoing Feedback: Feedback isn’t a one-time event; it’s a continuous process. We encourage regular conversations that provide insights, celebrate achievements, and identify areas for improvement.
- Annual Performance Review: This formal written document and collaborative discussion allows us to celebrate your progress, assess competencies, and align development plans with your aspirations.

Our Collaborative Pilot
As part of our commitment to innovation, we are currently piloting new approaches to performance management. This pilot involves ongoing feedback, goal setting, self-reviews, and meaningful conversations while encouraging growth and development. The pilot is intended to streamline our campus’s electronic performance review while providing meaningful feedback to foster employee growth and development. We’re excited to learn and grow together with our employees during this phase. Together, we will shape the future where performance excellence is the norm, and our employees and teams are empowered to thrive.
Goal
As part of IHR’s commitment to innovation, we are currently piloting new approaches to performance management. This pilot involves ongoing feedback, goal setting, self-reviews, and meaningful conversations. The pilot is also intended to streamline an electronic performance review that is simple to use for the employee and supervisor while providing meaningful feedback to foster employee growth and development. We’re excited to learn and grow together with our pilot participants to continuously improve the process and system. Together, we will shape a future where regular and insightful performance conversations and performance excellence is the norm and where our employees and teams are empowered to thrive.
