A variety of circumstances might require you to temporarily teach, learn, research, or work remotely (online) with minimal notice: a campus closure, an infectious disease outbreak, a family emergency requiring your presence elsewhere, or a natural disaster. This site provides the resources and guidance to make that shift quickly and successfully.

E-Learning Courses

The University of Illinois provides free access to the full library of content on LinkedInLearning.com for faculty, staff and students by using your University of Illinois NetID. LinkedInLearning, formerly Lynda.com is widely recognized as an industry leader in online learning and is designed to help you gain new skills. Their library of online tutorials contains over 1,200 courses and 73,000 tutorials organized by subject, software and instructors. Topics covered include how to use major software suites (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Apps), as well as courses in web publishing, analytics, video editing, audio editing, professional skills development, creativity, and a variety of other topics.

Managing Hybrid and Remote Teams

As the University of Illinois leans into the future of work at Illinois and more departments embrace workplace flexibility and hybrid and remote schedules, it is essential for managers to understand policies and best practices that will align teams for success at Illinois. Supervisors will learn how to establish boundaries, increase engagement, and anticipate challenges as they connect with other managers on campus to share lessons learned.

This program is delivered through a blended learning format that includes two live
webinars and four modules of asynchronous (self-paced) content. The time commitment for this course is 10 hours over a four-week period.

Managing Hybrid and Remote Teams

HRCI Learning Center Certificate in Managing the Hybrid Workforce

This is a nine-hour asynchronous course for HR Professionals. It is eligible for HRCI and SHRM recertification credits. HR professionals play a key role in leveraging the benefits of both settings, remote and in-person, to create hybrid solutions that suit the unique needs of their organizations. This certificate prepares HR professionals to manage hybrid workforces, especially during times of transition and as business needs change.
